Owner FAQs

Can’t find the answer?

Landlords must give tenants at least 24 hours’ notice before entering the property to do any necessary repairs or maintenance. These repairs should be done between 8am and 7pm.

From 11/02/2021 landlords are now required to keep the following documentation for 12 months after a tenancy ends:

– Inspection reports.
– Tenancy Agreements (as well as extension and variation agreements).
– Codes of Compliance from work done on the property.
– Evidence of compliance to Healthy Homes standards.

No, you cannot sign a boarding house tenancy agreement until the property is fully compliant to Healthy Homes standards.

Boarding houses must have already reached compliance by 1 July 2021.

Please get in touch as soon as possible so we can work with you on the sale of your property. By law, tenants with a periodic tenancy must have at least 63-day notice if you wish to sell the property. The more notice you can give us, the better. Please note fixed term tenancies cannot be terminated by notice, so let us know if you are considering returning to your house so we can structure our tenancy agreements appropriately.

Just get in touch! We can do an initial assessment your property while completing an appraisal. Any maintenance or potential compliance issues can start being addressed at this stage.
